We are currently working on
expanding our cricket coaching section along with coaching at Sussex County
Cricket Club. In 2003 Steyning Cricket Club brought us in to help build
a stable youth policy to feed young talent through from schools to Club
Colts to Senior Section who are in the Sussex County League. In our first
season we employed a coach to work with local schools and in addition a
Colts night on Monday. This proved highly successful with a competitive
match to finish the season against Horsham.
In 2004 we expanded the set-up to run a number of age groups and Colts night
two days a week. Having reached our goals, we then passed the set-up back
in-house for the established Steyning Cricket Club to run with voluntary
helpers.
