A normal swimming term will run for between
12 and 14 weeks, generally run in line with the local school terms. During these
terms, children will learn how to swim and develop water skills as they
progress. During each term there are three main events:
Assessment week
Between weeks 8 - 10, each child is assessed on their development so far
that term. We then decide which class to put them into the following term.
Each class works towards one of the National Curriculum levels 1 - 12. By
passing all the criteria for the appropriate award, the child will move
to the next class. If they do not achieve all the specified criteria, they
will stay in the same class for the following term.
Badge Week
At the end of term, children moving up a class receive a badge and certificate to recognise
their hard work throughout the term. Whether it is an ASA Level achievement,
distance award. Re-booking forms
are also issued at this time, entitling each swimmer a guaranteed place
for next term.
Re-booking Week
The re-booking form includes confirmation of the time, day and level of
class each child will be attending the following term. We allocate a date on the letter for payment so pupils are guarantee their booking. A confirmation
package is then forwarded to each pupil by email once payment is recieved.

“Excellent,
professional and pleasant. Christian has really enjoyed his swimming
lessons with DPD Coaching on a Friday. Thank you for all your hard
work. It has really paid off as he was a bit hopeless at the beginning
and you have turned him in to a really good little seal!”
“I have been pleased with the lessons and the progress
my children have made with their swimming. I thought all instructors
were kind and effective with all the children. See you at Whizz
Kids.” |
